Let’s Talk: NOPE House Theory for HHN 31?

by Jared Gutierrez

So far, we have received two major announcements, Halloween (1978) and Universal’s Monsters: Legends Collide. We will be expecting more news as we get closer to haunt season. A theory that could be true is if Nope, a brand new movie directed by Jordan Peele could star as a house this year. It may sound wild, but the movie US was part of the lineup in 2019 and is the 2nd film released that is involved in the franchise. This idea could increase the film sales and bring further more of the audience to the park. Nope is set to release in theatres in July, meaning it gives a gap between June-August for promo. Adding Aliens to this year’s lineup would sound like a captivating way to create a unique house. HHN has done an alien themed scare zone in the past with HHN 27 called “Invasion!”. Although, Invasion was not in any way intimidating for the most part, the details of the costumes and the spaceship was worth seeing. Based off the other two films directed by Jordan Peele, we can all agree that the visuals are breathtaking such as the scene from “Get Out” where Chris fell through hypnosis to a sunken place in a matter of seconds. The expectations for this film stand high, but if done correctly, a Nope house could be one of the top of this year’s lineup. Only time will tell..
