Evil Bong – Movie Review

by Bryan Pascual

In order to enjoy Evil Bong you need to watch it with low expecations…I mean rock bottom low. There is not much character developement or plot really. In most horror films the ‘Monster’ kills and people stay dead, but not in Evil Bong. The protaganist is suppose to be Alistair, but he doesn’t save anybody, Jimbo does. Jimbo is played by Tommy Chong, whose name is displayed in big letters on the cover art. Which I find intresting since, he is only in the last 15 min of the movie.

The movie starts with intoducing all of the main characters and one by one each character starts to ‘die’ by the Evil Bong. When someone takes a hit of the chronic using the Evil Bong, the get high and sent to High Heaven. In High Heaven they are greeted by strippers and then eaten by them. Once eaten, their human bodies are left with no pulses, but their spirtit is alive and well with strippers for the rest of eternity, maybe the Evil Bong feeds off of pleasure. The movie then climaxes when everyones spirit is trapped inside of the bong. Jimbo then happens to have a bomb and kill the bong and himself, but not the rest of the cast. The cast suddenly wakes up and continues to live their lives just like they did before they took a hit from the Evil Bong. At the end I felt like there was no progession and no explainations of what happened and why. If you want to waste time and are hight on life, then this is a movie for you!
